Description
We are delighted to announce, in partnership with Rails of Sheffield and Bachman Branchline, a new OO gauge model of our very own Caledonian Railway 439 Class No. 419, affectionately known as the ‘Caley Tank’, in British Railways black as No. 55189 as the locomotive carried in 2009 and between 2023 and 2024.
The DCC Sound Deluxe model of 55189 in British Railways black is priced at £324.95. A non-refundable deposit of £50 is payable at point of pre-order with balance due prior to delivery which is expected in 2027.

- Designed to operate on curves of second radius (438mm) or greater
DETAILING:
- Diecast metal running plate with integral side tank weights
- Precision moulded plastic boiler, side tanks and cab
- Separately applied details including lamp irons, Westinghouse pump, handrails, whistle, vacuum pipes, oil pots and turned brass safety valves
- Highly detailed and decorated cab interior including separately fitted regulator, reverser, handbrake and valve wheels
- Running gear detailing includes springs, brakes and separately fitted brake gear, and sandpipes
- Glazed cab spectacles
- Sprung metal buffers
- Each model supplied with an accessory pack including air tanks, additional bufferbeam pipework, cab steps and screwlink couplings

- Sound files produced specifically for the Bachmann Branchline Caledonian Class 439 Tank using recordings from real locomotives
- SOUND FITTED and SOUND FITTED DELUXE models operate on DCC and Analogue control as supplied
