Please read these conditions carefully before placing an order with SRPS Railtours Ltd (SRPS Railtours). By placing an order with SRPS Railtours, you signify your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to change our terms and conditions without notice so please do not assume that the same conditions will apply in the future

Prices of all goods for sale are shown on the website and include applicable UK Taxes.

Retail Shop: Terms of Sale

The price charged for goods will be the catalogue price at the time of payment (which may be different from the price at the time the product was added to the basket). If an item is out of stock we may choose to send your order in more than one consignment, or if we believe the required products will be in stock soon we may hold your order and despatch all the items together. This will not affect the price you pay. Goods will not be despatched until full payment has been received. You may cancel your order without charge at any time before the product(s) are dispatched without affecting your right of cancellation set out below.

Retail Shop: Placing an Order

To place an order you must click ‘Add to Basket’ for the products which you wish to purchase. To pay for orders, select ‘checkout’, enter the requested details and agree to the terms and conditions.  Click ‘Proceed to Checkout’. Payment can be made using: MasterCard / Visa / Delta. We send confirmation of your order by email. You should check your order and delivery details and contact us by email as soon as possible if there are any errors.

Orders are usually shipped within 5 working days unless otherwise stated.  We will endeavour to replace any goods received that are damaged or faulty, or offer a full refund if it is unavailable. You will be required to provide proof in the form of photo images or by returning the item to us. 

Retail Shop: Right & Effects of Cancellation

Products that are defective or not fit for purpose may be returned to us within 28 days of receipt for a full refund, including postage, or a replacement.

As per the Online and Distance Selling regulations, you may cancel your order without providing a reason within 14 days of receipt of the product(s) which you have purchased. You must inform us (SRPS Railtours) of your decision to cancel by email to info@srps.org.uk. You will bear the cost of return postage and will have a further 14 days to returns the product(s) to us. On our receipt of the returned product(s), which must be received in a saleable condition, we will issue a refund within 14 days by the same method of payment used for the initial transaction.

Railtour Day Excursions: Terms & Conditions

General Conditions

  1. All seats are fully reserved and must be booked and paid for in advance. SRPS Railtours endeavour to fulfil specific seating requests subject to availability and reserve the right to charge an additional £15 per seat for some seating requirements (eg. bays of two single seats).
  2. While SRPS Railtours will make every reasonable effort to ensure that the train runs as planned, SRPS Railtours does not accept responsibility for delays, mishaps or alterations or curtailment of the tour arising from situations outwith its control.
  3. SRPS Railtours cannot be held liable for any missed connections or non-use of tickets.
  4. Provisional times are only a guide and when booking you accept that these may differ from the final times. Final times are sent with your ticket, normally about a week before the date of the tour.
  5. Please allow plenty of time to reach your joining station and, if appropriate, sufficient time to park your car and make your way to the correct platform to join the train.
  6. If an excursion is cancelled by SRPS Railtours a full refund will be made, but no other liability shall be incurred.
  7. SRPS Railtours reserves the right to refuse access to, or remove from the train, any persons who are considered to be using inappropriate behaviour affecting the safety of the train and its passengers, spoiling the enjoyment for other passengers on the train, or failing to comply with any reasonable requests made by a member of the train staff.
  8. Registered guide dogs are welcome on our trains, but no other pets are permitted to travel.
  9. If you have any issues during your journey please bring them to the attention of one of the SRPS Railtours stewards or the Train Manager so that there is an opportunity to rectify the situation. It is unreasonable to take no action at the time and subsequently make a complaint. If the problem is not resolved then please put your complaint in writing to the Railtour Organiser to arrive no later than 10 days after your date of travel.
  10. Your booking is taken as constituting acceptance of these conditions.

Customer Cancellation or Alteration to a Booking

  1. For cancellations received more than fourteen days prior to the tour departure refunds will be given. To cover any non-recoverable charges or costs SRPS Railtours reserve the right to reduce the value of these refunds by up to the greater of £5 or 10% of the sum paid.
  2. For cancellations received between 24 hours and fourteen days prior to the tour departure a credit voucher will be issued which can be used as payment for future SRPS Railtours excursions. To cover any non-recoverable charges or costs SRPS Railtours reserve the right to reduce the value of these vouchers by up to the greater of £5 or 10% of the sum paid.
  3. No refund will be given for cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to the tour departure or for failure to board the train.
